WE GROW STRONG TOGETHER
The concept of a sacred tree can be found in origin and creation myths from all parts and cultures of the world. A symbol of unity, representing the idea that all life on earth is connected. Though we may all spread out in various directions, we are all part of something bigger.
LEAVES (stones)
Represent the uniqueness of all earthly creations, including ourselves. Like the leaves of a tree, we are all different, yet the Tree of Life reminds us that we can coexist peacefully.
BRANCHES
The branches reaching outwards represents our human need for expression - in arts, science and spirituality for example.
TRUNK
Above all else, the trunk and roots are the anchoring image of the Tree of Life. The solid trunk is a symbol of strength, a place we can always return to remember what we are made of, while the roots remind us that our actions in this life have deep meaning.
Pictured is an example of my Family Tree design. The leaves in the tree are made with the birthstones of the parents while the stones hanging below represent the children they share.
This can be done with a single tree or two intertwining trees as shown (heart optional).
Pictured is an example of my Generations Tree designs. The leaves in the tree are made with the birthstones of the parents on either end, the stones where the trees join together are a mix of their children's stones, while the stones hanging below represent their grandchildren.
This can be done with a single tree or two intertwining trees as shown (heart optional).
I offer two tree shapes to choose from; traditional or whimsical.
In this formation the leaves in the tree are made with the birthstones of the parents mixed together to symbolize they are one. The stones hanging from the branch represent their children.
This design can also be done in a Generations Tree by adding the grandchildren's stones hanging below the hoop as the other examples show.
I offer my Tree of Life suncatchers in three sizes (3", 6" and 8" hoops) as well as three wire colors (silver, gold and black).
